Christmas at the Cabin, Part 1, Over the River and Through the Woods

Our trip to my parents cabin was delayed by a day due to the blizzard conditions the day we were supposed to leave. We ended up taking the kids to see Madagascar2 that afternoon. The kids loved it, but Byran and I weren't too impressed. But it helped pass the time for some very disappointed children.

We made a second attempt the next morning. The canyon roads were not so good, but after about the first 3 hours of this.....

the roads were much better and we made it all the way over the river and through the woods to Grandma's cabin, a very welcome sight! There was even a snowman made by the cousins to welcome us...After dinner the cousins gathered around to watch "White Christmas"

In true form, our kids had to make their presence known by flushing a cup down the toilet and clogging it.
After much effort, Byran ended up having to pull the toilet off the seal to retrieve the cup.

Nice. Welcome to the cabin. So glad you came!
