Cabin Trip-Part 1

The summer just doesn't seem complete anymore without a trip to my parents' cabin in Colorado. All but 4 people in the entire family were there this trip. I loved being with my siblings and their families. We really enjoy being together, eating great food, getting a little crazy at times, creating memories and new traditions. This summer did not disappoint!

 We spent a morning cutting and hauling trees that had fallen this spring.

 The water brigade was very timely and efficient.

One evening, Grandma and Grandpa hosted a hayride. Grandma had hats and bandanas for all the participants to wear.

 We rode along the dirt roads singing crazy songs, and "caroled" for some of their neighbors.

Another day we made a "splash" at the nearby town's pool.

 Things started getting interesting when Kim and Amy started getting "creative". Several synchronized swimming numbers were created....

 Everyone had a great time, and we stayed so long that I think we all turned in to prunes. Mom recently told me that she heard our family "entertainment" left quite an impression on the folk from the town at the pool that day :)

 We spent the evenings watching Byran's "Gould-n-Glow" movie productions of the days' events.

Or impromptu talent shows

and just hanging together.

 The grandkids could be found every morning snuggling in bed with Grandma and Grandpa,

 and playing as gangs together outside.

 We had our second family ping-pong tournament.

 I even brought my skills to the table and managed, somehow (thanks Dan), to make it into round 2.

 Should we worry when the tournament creator is the champion two tournaments in a row? Bear?
