Been busy for the last little while packing and preparing to move Grandma to a new wing of the Center where she lives that will be able to better meet her changing needs.
The big move was yesterday and went so very well! She is all settled into her new studio apartment and thinks it is "elegant" and like a "mansion" :) ! Doesn't it look like a cozy place to live?
She is always so positive. Byran, my brothers, cousin Kristin and her husband Robert have been so helpful with the move. It was fun for me to sort through Grandma's things in preparation for the move. I LOVE this sweet lady!
I'm excited to get to know these residents and see Grandma thrive there! The activities director and workers there are so gentle, nurturing, and loving and the activities are at a level that fit her abilities and engage her in a better way than before.
This is my brother Cory with Grandma. It was so touching to watch him and my older brother Jeff interact with Grandma yesterday in their own loving ways. Grandma loves her family so much and their visits bring her so much joy and security.
